Keeping journal during step down

Post by tracker17 »

Hey, been a while sense i have been in here. I have a question, I am starting to taper down on my Suboxone. I take 12 mg a day for 4 years. I was wondering if keeping a daily journal would help with the metal part of the tapering? Any one done this or have opinion on this??? Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Not a bad idea. Can't say I've seen any other members post about doing it though. The important part is to go slow, very slow. Once you get down to 1mg or less then you can talk to your doctor about Sublocade or a Butrans patch. The patch is for pain so that may be a problem. The good thing about the patch is it's in micro grams vs milligrams. It's supposed to be left on for 2 weeks I think but if you left it on for longer the buprenorphine will slowly dissipate eventually going down to nothing. Same with the Sublocade which is injected under the skin. It is prescribed for opiate abuse just like Suboxone. Your doctor would probably suggest that one.

Research the section here called "Stopping Suboxone" for some good tips from other members who did it.
Don't take yourself so damn seriously
