Controlled Chronic Pain

Suboxone gave me my life back. I've got a serious neurological issue that causes me a good bit of pain. Severe pain if not treated. The deep pains I had in my back and rib cage are very mild now. Having spent a decade in bed, I'm grateful to have a medication that works so well to control my pain and to lift my depression. I'm motivated and I'm moving. It has been nothing short of amazing.

There are a few issues I'm ironing out. Constipation is harsh and my morning urine is very dark. Looking into that now. I experience arrhythmia a few times a day (could be neurological). I take an average of 4 mg a day. For me, I don't really see a difference when I take more. It seems pointless to me to take more. 4 mg is effective. I realize that I am very lucky to be in this position as many others don't find it as effective. If you are long term patient with no means of a cure for what ails you, please try this medication if opioids have failed you. It may change your life for the better. I will be a lifer with this medicine. If I only knew years ago. My life was pathetic. I've been on the medication for six months as of today.

I completely agree! I have severe chronic back pain and no amount of opioids I ever took has helped like the past month I've been on suboxone. I do have addiction issues since I was 19 and I'm 34 now. I stayed clean 3 years then I got sick with my back.

Glad you're doing well! The dark urine is probably unrelated to buprenorphine and more related to fluid intake. I would suggest that you drink more water, but that would get you up more often in the night, and may not be good if you have certain health issues (like congestive heart failure).

As for constipation, I'm going to write a post on my blog, suboxonetalk.com, about how to address that issue. Check the site in a day or two.
