| I'm back with a problem |

Hey everyone,
I've been MIA for a while.
I Started on Suboxone New Years Eve 2011 and never looked back.
I'm currently on 14mg.
Let me back up a little though with my situation and any advice would be appreciated.
When I started (only 4 1/2 months ago) I never got to the "lowest dose to avoid cravings and withdrawls"
My dr prescribed 16mg and after induction, I just stayed at that dose.
I was feeling really tired, so I dropped 2mg ...felt good at 14mg waited a few weeks, dropped another 2mg ...felt good at 12mg and I think here is where I went wrong. I dropped TO quickly to 10mg. So at 10mg I felt crappy. It wasnt working for me. So from there I allowed myself to creep back up to 16mg. UGH!!! I was so mad at myself.
At that point I dropped fairly quickly to 14mg and stayed there now for about a month. So this was all to fast, I realize this now.
BUT my question is, after screwing up my dose, to quickly, how should I proceed to attempt to get to the lowest dose possible where I'm comfortable.
I know "they" say to listen to your body. But my body has been pretty quiet ! And I 'm not getting anywhere listening !!!!
Any suggestions ? Has this happened to anyone ?
(Hat, this one's for you, thanks for the welcome in the chat thread)

Hi again, Lindy -
It's possible that you're just where you need to be - have you considered that? Maybe you are already at the lowest dose possible for your needs and that's why your body is "quiet". If you're uncomfortable dropping your dose, then I'd say don't do it. There's nothing wrong with staying at the dose right where you're at. _________________ -As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Hello Hat,
I NEVER thought of that. Looking back, I might not been comfortable on any of those doses. I really only gave them 2 weeks tops before dropping again, thinking I was doing good on that particular dose.
I do remember always feeling a bit off in the afternoon, but dealt with it.
Now being on 14mg, I DONT feel that at all, ever. So I can honestly say, I'm good at this dose and I've been here about a month now.
Thank you Hat, sometimes its takes a set of outside eyes to point out something obvious!
Thanks also, for you comment and the welcome back. Looking forward to chatting with some of the newbies here, since I'm still new at this myself.
Hope everyone is good, and enjoying that road to recovery!
