I relapsed while on suboxone and will get kicked out of prog Reply with quote

I don't know what to do, I really messed up, and now I have a suboxone drug test this morning. I know I made the mistake, but I just can't afford to get kicked out of the program. If I swallow a small piece will it show up on the test. They do the mouth swab. I'm so stressed. I shouldn't of done what I did, I just don't know. Please any help would be great.

I'm confused. You relapsed on what?

And what are they testing for?

Sorry about that. I relapsed on Heroin and I'm in a suboxone program. I really messed up, and I'm not going to do it again. I get tested every week with the mouth swab and wanted to know if I swallowed the suboxone will it show up that suboxone is in my system with the mouth swab test? They don't use the urine. They test to make sure suboxone is in your system. Not sure if you know, but if subs show, the stick will turn blue. Because I had

If you swallow it, you'll get next to none in your system (if any) and it probably won't show up at all in a test. At least that's my totally non-medical, uninformed opinion.

How long did you use heroin for? It depends on that as to whether or not you can take your suboxone now. If you just used once or twice in a day or two, you should be fine to take it by now. It's only if you used for more than a few days that you need to wait before you go back on it. I'm sure you'll get others' opinions as well to help you.

I'd have suboxone in your mouth as long as possible just before you do your swab test. If they are testing for buprenorphine, to make sure you're still taking it (thus in theory unable to abuse other opioids) - then it should in theory be most detectable after you have had it in your mouth.

Yeah...

Even if your mouths all dry from using the gear, you should be able to squeeze some saliva out. If not, a couple of drops of water or vodka should get you on your way?

But it begs the question. If your mouth is so dry it can't dissolve the sub, you probably have too much gear in your system to take sub. Unless you want to present with precipitated withdrawal and say you have a really bad fever?

I dunno the whole thing don't make much sense to me.

Maybe I'm confused -- have you not been taking your Subs, but selling them, etc.? If that's the case, there may be more serious repercussions than just relapsing on dope. A major concern is diversion.

At my methadone/Suboxone clinic, they test for the presence of the subs as well as for illegal drugs. They give you a pass for the first few dirties of illegal drugs, but if the test for Subs doesn't shoe up, you could be kicked out of the program. Don't mean to scare you. Or did I not read this post correctly?
